Other pickups on guitar:
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Classic Rock / Blues
Reason for pickup change: The Burstbuckers were kind of sterile. Almost no life to them. Just no personally of what I call a Les Paul Sound with them. Just weren't my cup of tea.
Sound
Perceived output level: Not too hot but not weak. Very edgy and dark.
Tone: Great Woman tone in the neck, In you face balanced attack in the treble.
Sonic evaluation: I use a bunch of different amps. But my main two are a Fender Reverb for my cleaner stuff and some bluesy stuff. These pickups shine. Awesome tone. Neck pickup clean is just a very pretty sound as my wife would say. Before with the Burstbucker it was just there. No real vibe going. Kick in a tube screamer and it just the cream of the crop. Bridge pickups is also just as sweet. Not too bright or dark in clean mode. Just right. Ok, now to my Marshall Super Lead. All I have to say is stand back. The bridge pickup is nasty. Nasty Good! Think Billy Gibbons in a pissed off mood playing Tush. Back off the volume a bit now we're just Dazed and Confused. Flip to neck and early Clapton woman tones are crying. Just great sounding pickups. Now if I can just find Bill. I want more. Does anybody have any info? Post it here. He hand signed his pickups on the bottom plate. So if you have one. Then your lucky too.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: great match for me. I wish I bought more from him....
