Music Archives

This is listing of the major music archives and their mirrors (not even close to complete yet!). You can find some neat things in these archives that I haven't had time to sift through. I've tried to give a description of the contents of each site, but they all have more than just what I mention. You may want to use 'regular' ftp so that you can keep the connection to the ftp sites.

The LEO Music Archive - A pretty big site in Germany that mirrors some big US sites. You can access it at http://www.leo.org or ftp://ftp.leo.org - ftp seems faster, but doesn't have everything.
ftp.informatik.tu-muenchen.de - mirror of the LEO music archive.
ftp.informatik.uni-muenchen.de - mirror of the LEO music archive.
ftp.e-technik.tu-menchen.de - mirror of the LEO music archive.
www.cs.ruu.nl - (also available via ftp) MIDI files, software, documentation, and patches.
ftp.cis.nctu.edu.tw - mirror of ftp.cs.ruu.nl.
ftp.ibp.fr - mirror of ftp.cs.ruu.nl.
nic.funet.fi - MIDI files from ftp.cs.ruu.nl, plus some software, samples, and patches.
Internet MIDI Archives - Patches, MIDI files, and docs.
wozzeck.tfo.arizona.edu - some patches from the louie.udel site.
