Alesis Ships Studio 32(TM) Recording Console with Inline MonitoringSeptember 26, 1997 -- Alesis Corporation announced that their new Studio 32 Recording Console with Inline Monitoring is now available at Alesis dealers, according to Jim Mack, Alesis Vice-President of Marketing. "The Studio 32's advantage over similarly sized and priced consoles is becoming apparent to our dealers and customers," said Mack. "As an inline console, the Studio 32 allows studio owners to access twice as many tracks as they could using a standard PA mixer for about the same price." The Studio 32 is a 16-channel, 4-group, inline monitor recording console which offers high sonic quality and excellent routing versatility. As a true inline console, the Studio 32 lets you send 16 audio signals to a recorder and monitor 16 channels coming back from tape without re-patching. The Studio 32 provides 16 hybrid/discrete phantom-powered mic preamplifiers that offer excellent sonic quality, low noise and high headroom with more than 60dB of gain, making it ideal for digital recording. Plus, there are 16 individual XLR inputs for ease in routing multiple audio sources simultaneously, The Studio 32's EQ section provides low and high shelving controls and a powerful, fully-parametric mid-frequency control set. Effects and cue mixes are handled by six aux sends, two pre-fader and four post-fader. Since the Studio 32 is designed for professional usage, all of its audio connections are located on the rear panel. The Studio 32 may be used as a desktop console, and can also be easily mounted in a standard rack using its included metal rack ears. The Studio 32 easily connects to a variety gear using either balanced or unbalanced signal levels, with 1/4" TRS jacks handling most interfacing duties.
