Digidesign Releases MasterList CD 1.4September 26, 1997 -- Digidesign, Inc. has released version 1.4 of their popular CD mastering software program, MasterList CDTM. The crucial link between Digidesign digital audio workstations and the creation of professional compact disc masters, MasterList CD provides Digidesign's customers with a total solution from creative concept through CD mastering. MasterList CD creates Red-Book standard CD or 8mm DDP tape masters which are used as the direct source for glass mastering by many CD duplication facilities worldwide. Customers may also use MasterList CD to create one-off reference disks playable on any commercial CD player. MasterList CD integrates with all of Digidesign's digital audio workstations, including Pro Tools III, Pro Tools ProjectTM, AudiomediaTM and Sound Tools IITM. Version 1.4 is an upgrade adding support for the following new CD recorders: Philips CDD-2600 (and available OEM models), Ricoh MP-6201/6200, Hewlett Packard SureStore 6020i/602es and the Yamaha CDR-400t/400c. Previously compatible CD recorders receive continued support under MasterList Version 1.4. MasterList CD v1.4 is available now at a suggested US List Price of $495 from authorized Digidesign dealers. Registered users of previous MasterList CD versions may upgrade for $49 by contacting Digidesign Customer Service.
