Arboretum Ships 24-Bit Compatible Hyperprism-TDM

September 26, 1998 -- Arboretum Systems is demonstrating the 24-bit compatible Hyperprism(TM)-TDM sound design software, for Power Macintosh computers running Digidesign Pro Tools 4, at the Audio Engineering Society convention in San Francisco this weekend.

First introduced in 1994, Hyperprism is a set of digital signal processing tools which feature intuitive gestural control over effect parameters. Now in current release, Hyperprism-TDM version 2.1 is Arboretum's high-end pro version, offering real-time in-line non-destructive audio processing, with full dynamic control over every effect setting. Key features include:

Fully tested compatibility with all the latest 24-bit Pro Tools hardware.
Play effects like they were musical instruments! Hyperprism responds to every gesture, remembering and recreating each move and parameter change.
Runs on both PCI and NuBus Power Macintoshes. Also compatible with older 68000-series Macs running Pro Tools TDM.
All effect parameters, including stereo input gain, can be assigned to Hyperprism's Blue Window(TM) for real-time gestural control over parameter changes.
Parameter change automation is achieved using the Pro Tools 4 track display, allowing easy editing of automation graphs.
Effects which were previously mono-only can now be used on the stereo bus.
DSP algorithms rewritten and optimized for more parameter control and better sound.
Eight NEW effects added since the 2.0 release.
