Digigram PCX11+ Two Channel Digital Audio Board Goes PCI
September 25, 1998 -- Digigram's popular PCX11+ now comes in two versions, with a new PCI bus model joining its established ISA bus sibling. The PCX11+ for PCI features two balanced analog inputs/outputs, handles both MPEG and PCM audio, and allows real-time processing operations on its onboard DSP. A digital option, which does not require an additional PC slot, accommodates a stereo input/output in AES/EBU and SPDIF formats. An input is also available on the board to connect directly to a computer's internal CD-ROM drive. A high level of processing power allows the PCX11+ to handle both MPEG Audio and PCM data. Real-time processing operations such as simultaneous coding/decoding and mixing of several tracks may be carried out in both modes. A wide range of real-time effects including time-stretching, pitch-shifting and scrub are also available. Visit the Digigram web site at www.digigram.com.
