Sonic Foundry Introduces Mass Market version of ACIDTM--ACID pH1TM

September 26, 1998 -- Sonic Foundry (AMEX:SFO) introduces ACID pH1--a mass market version of their revolutionary creation tool, ACIDTM. ACID pH1 allows Windows PC users to express their creativity by taking any of the hundreds of loops included with the program and combining them to make original music compositions. ACID pH1 contains an advanced loop processing engine that automatically adjusts loop tempos and pitches to make them blend seamlessly into professional sounding music without requiring the expensive software and time consuming procedures traditionally followed by professional musicians.

According to Roy Elkins, Sonic Foundry's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "ACID pH1 delivers a completely new level of ease of use for the average computer owner by simply "painting" music. It makes possible a quality of creative musical expression that was simply unavailable to the mass market until now."

Features - ACID pH1 automatically synchronizes selected loops in tempo and pitch. It provides volume and panning options for individual loops, and allows the user to save compositions as .WAV or .ASF (NetShow) files. This allows the new music creator to burn their compositions to a CD or stream them over the Internet. ACID pH1's special Paint and Erase modes speed loop placement, and the unlimited undo/redo encourages experimentation.

Estimated Street Price - $99.95

Minimum system requirements: Windows 9x or Windows NT, a Pentium 133 or Alpha AXP microprocessor, 32 MB RAM, a Windowscompatible sound card and a CDROM drive.
