Soundelux Unveils Three New High-End Microphones
September 20, 1998 --
In response to customer demand and to strengthen its position as a leader in providing the highest quality sound services and products, Soundelux Microphones, a division of Soundelux Entertainment Group, today announced that it is adding to its successful studio equipment manufacturing business with the release of three new hand crafted, high-end Soundelux microphones. The microphones, available in mid-October, will reflect true design ingenuity, state-of-the-art technology, and will raise the standard for clarity and range.
"We are excited to translate our vast understanding of sound engineering into a product that will deliver superior recording quality to musicians and vocalists," said David Bock, President of Soundelux Microphones. "This is a key strategic move for the company, and one that will expand the services we are able to offer our clientele."
The Microphones
The three new Soundelux microphones are:
- The Soundelux PTM Tube Cardioid Condenser Microphone - the first tube condenser microphone to address unique characteristics of project studio digital recording systems, the PTM was specifically designed to reduce unwanted vocal sibilance effects while simultaneously maintaining full articulation and a vivid sense of high frequency realism and spaciousness.
- The Soundelux U95S Multipattern Tube Condenser Microphone - the flagship Soundelux microphone, the U95S marks the culmination of Soundelux's commitment to effectively recreate the prized signature sound of earlier classic models - yet does so with lower noise, more dynamic headroom, improved long-term stability and greater consistency. The U95 provides the sensitivity and tonal balance of yesterday's classic, along with the low noise and high headroom required for today's music and tomorrow's high-resolution digital playback media.
- The Soundelux U97 Multipattern FET Condenser Microphone - a smaller, more affordable condenser microphone that emulates the best characteristics of previous Soundelux designs and some vintage European models. The Soundelux U97 will feature four pattern capabilities (omni, hepercardioid, figure-8 patterns, and cardioid) giving it unmatched flexibility across a wide spectrum of applications.
Renowned engineer, David Bock designed all of Soundelux's microphones with his purist/minimalist approach to microphone design and dedication to uncompromising quality in both components and construction.
