Steinberg Cubase VST/24 3.6 Now for Windows

September 26, 1998 -- Steinberg, the market leader of software companies on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, today announced the release of Cubase VST/24 3.6 for Windows. Cubase VST/24 3.6 now brings the audio component of Cubase for Windows up to the level of the Macintosh 4.0 version with 96 tracks, Submixers, ReWire, 8 FX sends and eight Aux. Futhermore, Cubase VST/24 3.6 supports the entire functionality of Yamaha's DSP Factory card, offering the users the best of both worlds, native processing, flexibility and creativity plus the horsepower of DSP Factory.

With Steinberg's Virtual Studio Technology (VST) recordings can be shaped with up to 4 bands of brand new hi-end EQ per channel for maximum dynamic range and subtle sound design. The VST Mixer has been expanded with four PlugIn inserts per channel, plus 8 Aux sends for addressing up to 8 effects or PlugIns in the Aux Effects rack. The master section offers bussing to the individual outputs of a wide range of supported digital audio cards like the Sonorus STUDI/O, Lexicon Studio, Yamaha DSP Factory etc.
