Summit Audio DCL-200 Dual Channel Compressor-LimiterVacuum Tube Stage Provides a Warm Sound While Integrated Circuits and Operational Amplifiers Offer Stability
September 26, 1998 -- Summit Audio will feature the DCL-200 Dual Channel Compressor-Limiter at the 105th AES Convention, held from September 26 to 29 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, Booth 518. The Summit Audio DCL-200 is based on a proprietary hybrid design of vacuum tube technology and solid state electronics. The DCL-200's vacuum tube stage produces a warm sound while the integrated circuits and operational amplifiers offer stability. The front panel offers silent operation, channel in/bypass switches; continuously variable attack and release controls; gain, A.C. threshold, and slope controls; dual VU type meters indicating either output voltage or gain reduction; peak overload indicators and a stereo link switch. The DCL-200 offers a 'soft-knee' transition characteristic and a side-chain insert. The input and output XLR connectors are electrically balanced or unbalanced. For more information on the DCL-200 Dual Channel Compressor-Limiter, please contact Summit Audio, Inc. at 408-464-2448, fax 408-464-7659, or visit their web-site at www.summitaudio.com.
