Summit Debuts MPE-200 Mic Preamp and 4-Band EQ

September 26, 1998 -- Summit Audio, a world leader in high-quality audio equipment, is proud to introduce the MPE-200 Microphone Preamplifier and 4-band Equalizer-the initial offering of the new Element 78 product line-at the 105th AES Convention, held from September 26 to 29 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, Booth 518.

"Element 78 is an extremely important professional audio product for both Summit Audio and the audio industry at large," says Mike Papp, president of Summit Audio. "The Summit name has always been synonymous with the much sought after classic vacuum tube sound."

The unit offers a unique implementation of storage and reset capabilities allowing comparison of up to 25 memory settings, copying of settings between units and MIDI control. The 2U rack space device provides two independent audio paths for each of two channels. Each channel consists of a high performance microphone amplifier with high and low pass filter sections and a comprehensive 4-band equalizer.
