128X MIDI Interface from Digidesign

September 25, 1999 -- Digidesign enhances Pro Tools support for MIDI recording, editing, and sequencing with the introduction of the 128X MIDI Interface. An ideal combination with the newly announced MIDI features of Pro Tools v5.0 software, the 128X is OMS-compatible and is supported by both Mac OS and Windows.

The 128X is engineered to support a user's studio growth and flexibility by providing eight MIDI inputs and nine outputs, 128 MIDI channels, full SMPTE synchronization (reads & writes all sync formats), and, USB and serial connection. It also combines a powerful yet easy to use MIDI patchbay that works with a footswitch/trigger and Studio Patches software, included for powerful computer MIDI processing (Mac OS only).

The Digidesign 128X MIDI Interface is available late-October at the MSRP of $545 (U.S.) from authorized Digidesign dealers worldwide.
