Lexicon Cuts Price of MPX 1 ProcessorSeptember 28, 1999 -- Lexicon, Inc. is making available their MPX 1 Multi-Effects Processor at a new extremely affordable price point. Effective immediately, the MPX 1 has a manufacturers suggested retail price of $899.00. At the heart of the MPX 1 is Lexicon's Multiple Processor FX technology featuring two independent microprocessors - the proprietary Lexichip for the world's best reverb and a separate DSP chip for additional effects. In addition to capitalizing on Harman International's resources for purchasing, Lexicon was able to develop new manufacturing techniques that lowered the overall cost of the MPX 1. Those savings are reflected in the new MSRP which now makes the Lexicon MPX 1 the most affordable, true stereo multiple effects processor in its class. Unlike other multi-effects processors, there is never a sonic compromise in reverb programs with the MPX 1, even in the most complex multi-effects programs.
