V-Studio Workstation Software Now Available

September 27, 1999 -- Roland has announced the availability of powerful new software programs for its V-Studio Workstations. Liquid Audio's Liquifier Pro™ and Emagic's® Logic™ VS are now being bundled with every VS-880EX and VS-1680 Digital Studio Workstation shipped, while VS-Pro software is available directly from Datasonics.

Liquid Audio's Liquifier Pro is advanced digital music delivery software providing V-Studio owners a "total solution" for digitally recording and publishing their music to the Internet. This cross-platform software allows users to "Liquify" (encode) a song using the Liquifier Pro software and then publish it to the Roland VS Users Music Showcase, found at www.rms.liquidaudio.com. Existing V-Studio owners can get the free Liquifier Pro software by downloading it from www.rms.liquidaudio.com/vsupgrade.html.

Emagic's Logic VS is a special version of Logic Audio, their popular Mac- and PC-based MIDI sequencing/audio program. Logic VS includes the ability to edit VS audio tracks alongside MIDI sequences in a completely integrated music production environment. Existing V-Studio owners can obtain a copy of Logic VS for a nominal fee by contacting Emagic at (530) 477-1051.

Datasonics VS-Pro is a suite of software applications allowing V-Studio owners to record, mix and edit audio; sequence MIDI tracks with notation; and apply VS effects-all from a PC. Available in several versions, these programs can be purchased directly from Datasonics. Visit their web site at www.datasonics.com.au.
