AKG
The C 2000 B, AKGs latest condenser microphone, made its appearance at the Messe. Built with cardioid polar response, it combines elements of the C 4000 B and the C 3000 B in order to keep tooling costs low and pass along savings to the buyer. The company has applied for a patent for the new manufacturing process that produced the mics small diaphragm transducer capsule, which was designed to facilitate high sensitivity, low self-noise, and improved bass response. Other design features include a transformer-free output stage for enhanced low-end definition. Shipping date and pricing will be announced. Introduced in 1997, the Emotion Series of AKG microphones is being upgraded with new styling, optimized engineering, new features, and three new models: the D 660 S for vocals and the D 550, with a low frequency boost and integrated stand adapter, and the D 440, with mid and high frequency boost, dedicated to miking instruments. Both the D 550 and the D 440 come with integrated stand adapters for optimum placement. The entire Emotion Series microphones have been restyled, with a slender new shaft for better proportions and greater comfort in the users hand. Alterations to the wire-mesh grille and an elegant matte black enamel finish help create a professional appearance. www.akg-acoustics.com, 615-360-0499 |
