Onboard mixing and effects join forces in the Direct Pro 24/96, which combines four mic preamped inputs with real-time DSP effects and a DSP-based 10-channel mixer. Right out of the box, this product makes it possible for any musician can plug in any microphone or line level input and begin recording pristine 24-bit audio directly to the PC with native DSP-generated multiband EQ, compressor, and reverb effects. External mixers, mic preamps, and outboard effects you wont need them. The A/D and D/A converters are 24-bit and 96kHz-compatible. (48, 44.1, and 32kHz rates are also supported.) The Direct Pro 24/96 features a real-time digital patchbay and level trim controls for the analog inputs to prevent digital clipping on input. The compressor, EQ, and reverb effects use the DSP chip on the PCI card, which powers all these effects for monitoring and recording in real-time with no latency. The DSP also handles all the mixing, routing, and metering functions on the software-based control panel, for minimum CPU load. The Direct Pro 24/96 has the same extensive software compatibility as the Aark series of PC audio interfaces, which includes products by Steinberg, Cakewalk, Sonic Foundry, and many others. Suggested retail is $699. www.aardvark-pro.com, 734-665-8899 |
