RME DIGI96/8 PST
This German manufacturer introduced a new digital I/O card at the Messe. In addition to coaxial S/PDIF and ADAT optical interfaces, the DIGI96/8 PST includes analog stereo inputs and outputs. Though built into a computer, the PST achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 107dBA at a distortion level of 0.001%, thanks to is double voltage regulation, optimized layout, and 24-bit/96kHz converters. Drivers for Windows and NT, Mac, ASIO, and Linux (OSS) are already released. The DIGI96/8 PST is shipping now, at a suggested retail price of $635. |
