TerraTec EWS88 D
The EWS88 D, based on the EWS88 MT technology, offers ten digital audio channels. The optical TOS-Link interface (lightpipe) can handle either eight channels in ADAT format, or a stereo S/PDIF signal up to 24-bit and 96kHz. The card features two independent MIDI ports and an S/PDIF interface with coaxial connections (up to 24-bit and 96 kHz), to which the ADAT signal can be routed and mixed; thus the EWS88 D can serve as a converter. The card can also be synchronized with any other EWS card fitted with an EWS-Connect, or to a WordClock signal when using the TerraTec EWS ClockWork module. Other features include simultaneous recording and playback of up to 20 channels;16-, 20- and 24-bit processing of the ADAT signal with up to 48kHz playback; variable sampling rate of the ADAT input signal up to 52kHz; analog stereo output at up to 16-bit and 48kHz (3.5 mm jack) for MME and DirectSound playback; two stereo inputs with up to 16-bit and 48 kHz operation; two independent MIDI interfaces (splitter cable); and drivers for Windows 95, 98, and NT4, as well as ASIO 2.0, Gigasampler GSIF, MME, and DirectSound (SystemSound out) support. The EWS88 D is scheduled for release during April 2000; its price will be announced. www.terratec.net, 407-331-4002 |
