TerraTec EWS96 M for EWS64 Users
The AudioSystem EWS96 M offers fully balanced stereo inputs and outputs (6.35 mm jack), -10dBv/+4dBu switching, and analog pre- and power amplifiers that guarantee adequate headroom and a switchable boost. An S/PDIF interface (coaxial, directly on the card) and MIDI are also featured. The EWS96 M is well suited for EWS64 users who require current converter technology or true 24/96 audio processing in addition to sampling. The "F" DigitalXtension and microWAVE PC drive-bay modules can also be run and used in conjunction with the EWS96 M!. A connection is provided for the "R" MediaXtension, which features optical S/PDIF I/O as well as all standard PC audio interfaces (analog I/O, with recording at up to 16-bit/48kHz), a microphone connection (without phantom power), and a 15-pin D-Sub connector for MIDI I/O and/or connection to TerraTec’s phonoPreAmp phono amplifier with power supply via D-Sub. All EWS cards with EWS-Connect in one PC can be linked and also upgraded with the EWS ClockWork module, which can either generate the clock signal or sync to an external clock. Other features include simultaneous recording and playback of all channels with up to 24-bit/96kHz; two analog input and output channels, switchable between +4dBu and -10dBv (balanced 6.3 mm jack); 24-bit/96kHz converter with a dynamic range of up to 120dB; digital stereo input and output (S/PDIF, coaxial up to 96 kHz and 24-bit); two stereo inputs with up to 16-bit and 48kHz operation; and drivers for Windows 95, 98, and NT4, as well as ASIO 2.0, MME and DirectSound (SystemSound out) support.
