Bias

The user interface of Peak 2.5, Bias' stereo editor for the Mac, has gotten a nice facelift, but the bigger news is the addition of VST plug-in support. Up to four VST effects can be inserted into the audio path and used to process the signal in real time. Peak also features new metering algorithms that are more responsive and offer greater display precision, and a new Repair Click function. Other enhancements include a more powerful Guess Tempo function, and support for ultrawide SCSI devices on SMDI transfers. And Bias has switched to a new, diskette-free, copy protection system; update price and release date will be announced soon.

Bias was also showing an early BeOS version of Peak running on a portable PC computer.
