Arturia
Storm, a synthesizers and effects platform for Windows, offers a library of sound modules and effects, with which you can build a virtual, sequence-based home studio that includes drum machines, synthesizers, samplers, and even turntables. It adds up to wide creative opportunities in sound synthesis, along with extensive sampling functionalities, in a professional-quality, fully automated, real-time studio. Not only that: It's fun to use. To follow the release of its two new acoustic drum machines (Hork and Psion), a lowpass filter (LPFilter), and a ring modulator (Ring Mod), Arturia displayed two new Storm modules at the show. The first is an easy-to-use sampler, which lets you record an external audio signal while the rest of your tracks play back. So sing along, play your guitar, and record an audio CD. The stereo source is recorded in real time as you hear and work on the rest of the piece. The second module is a robotizer effect, which will be especially useful when recording voices or percussion instruments. All of these modules are available free of charge on Arturia's web site, as well as samples and tracks composed by users and tips designed to enhance every user's performance with Storm. www.arturia.com, +33 (0) 4 38 02 05 55 |
