The resulting combination of synth modules and effects can also run as a VST instrument in Cubase or Logic, thanks to the ability to turn the contents of the Master View -the FXmachine- into a stand-alone VST plug-in. Three basic building blocks are offered. The first is TCO, a monophonic dual oscillator that emulates a real oscillator and actually generates waveforms rather than play them back from sample memory. Its features include pulse width modulation, an additional sub-oscillator, oscillator sync, ring modulation, and LFO. Building block number two is TCF, a filter module which provides you with a 12, 18 or 24dB lowpass filter with resonance, an additional highpass filter with its own envelope, key follow, single and multi trigger, and other synth filter module features. Finally, TCA is an amplifier module that offers the classic ADSR curve, a Drive component that allows for a "phat" analog-type sound, and more. Spark|Modular is scheduled to ship during May 2000, with a suggested retail of $99. |

Spark|Modular is a series of plug-ins for TC|Works' Spark 1.5 mastering and editing environment. Its design emulates the basic components of a classic "analog-like" synthesizer (oscillator, filter plus envelope, amplifier plus envelope), which may be chained within the program's Master View window. In addition, the program allows users to add any other VST plug-in to the patch.
