Yamaha announced Version 2.0 software for its DTX Drum Trigger Module. The update supplies 29 additional drum kits plus 12 new hi-hats and 33 new rim sounds. In the new version, both pad and rim voices can be triggered simultaneously, and variable gate time can be assigned to each note. Other possibilities are to cancel the drum track and play along with preset songs, or to assign the click track to headphones only. The other functions of the DTX Version 2.0 are too numerous to list.
