ReBirth 2.0 at MusikMesse

Listen to the ReBirth 2.0 presentation

ReBirth and Cubase VST on the big screen!

March 11, 1998 -- MusikMesse is the home show for Steinberg, and this year, their booth featured a massive video wall, surround sound, as well as a bar. One of the major announcements made at MusikMesse was ReBirth 2.0, and we've recorded the presentation for you.

The most visible addition to version 2.0 of ReBirth is the 909 drum machine to accompany the 808. Creating new ReBirth mods is easier than ever now that the graphics and samples are contained in a separate file.

Perhaps the most significant change to ReBirth is the tighter integration with Cubase VST. Steinberg and Propellerhead have created a ReWire technology that easily allows you to bring in the individual ReBirth sounds in on their own channels for more processing. ReBirth will automatically sync to VST so integrating ReBirth into your music is a snap.
