Waves Adds Three More Plug-Ins to EasyWaves

Entry level DSP Bundle for Mac and PC

March 11, 1998 -- Waves the leading supplier of DSP software for the professional audio and multimedia markets, today announced the addition of three more Plug-Ins to EasyWaves, a new entry level native-process bundle, at no extra cost. Waves EasyWaves runs on both the PC and MAC platforms without any additional hardware. EasyWaves can be seen as a sampler of the most popular features of Waves' acclaimed high-end DSP Plug-Ins. It is ideal for individual tracks of any editing system, including digital sequencers, or for one-pass processing of mixed tracks. The new individual Plug-Ins require very little CPU power for those processing large audio files.

The EasyWaves includes:

  • AudioTrack which includes: 4 band-EQ, Compression, Gating, Expansion.
  • EZVerb - High Quality Reverb with presets taken straight from the TrueVerb.
  • NEW -- 3 band EQ with bass middle and treble gain control. Control of the frequency for the middle band. Requires very little CPU power.
  • NEW -- Reverb: Contains mix control, reverb time, and brightness control. Requires very little CPU power.
  • NEW --Compressor: Contains tight and gain controls. The gain controls the amount of compression applied, and the tight control allows the user to control how much drive and limiting the signal has, making it "tight" and loud. Requires very little CPU power.

"We created EasyWaves in response to many requests for a entry level bundle," comments Alon Zacai, Managing Director of Waves. "As more applications are being made available for digital audio with native processing and no hardware, more people are experimenting with effects. EasyWaves is an inexpensive way to experiment with DSP. An upgrade path is available through the entire family of Wave's bundles."

EasyWaves new plugins are compatible with any MAC software that supports the Adobe Premiere Plug-Ins architecture and DirectX on Windows including:

on MAC:
Premiere, Cubase-VST, Peak, WaveConvert Pro, SoundEdit 16, Deck II, Digital Performer 2.1, AudioSuite, Logic Audio 3.0, Studio Vision Pro 3.5 and other platforms supporting the Premiere architecture
