Marshall Announces G50RCD and G80RCD Combos
March 3, 1999 -- The Marshall Valvestate models 8040 and 8080 became the best selling amplifiers in Marshall's history. Now Marshall is taking many of popular features of those amps and adding a few more to create the updated G50RCD and G80RCD guitar combos. The G50RCD evolved directly from the 8040 and has the same front panel features, but includes improved heatsinks on the output stage. The frequency response has been widened and the popular CD input has been added so you can jam along with your favorite artists or jam tracks. Spring reverb, effects loop, and line out are standard. The increase in output to 50 Watts makes the G50RCD a good, all-around practice, rehearsal, recording, and small gig amp. The G80RCD has exactly the same front panel features as the 8080, but with higher SPL for its output rating, improved heatsinks, wider frequency response, plus the tape/CD input. The effects loops on the G80RCD include a level selector and mix control. Spring reverb, line output, and master volume are also standard.
