Sonic Timeworks to Support BeOS® Within 1999Scale Timeworks proudly announced upcoming support of the new BeOS operating system.
March 3, 1999 -- Sonic Timeworks is dedicated to producing state-of-the-art audio production tools with the highest possible sound quality. Current products, including the 4080L Reverb and the Mastering EQ, utilize 64-bit technology, and are of course fully compatible with the new 96KHz high-end standard. "People know us for both sound quality and processing speed," said co-founder Craig Campbell. "but tile architectures of current OSes introduce a time delay or latency which is not suited for real-time applications. With BeOS, it's different, it's built for real-time audio from the ground up." Sonic Timeworks support of the BeOS will be completed early summer 1999, and will include their most prominent plug-ins, all optimized to take advantage of the Be Operating System's performance.
