ART FX-1 Personal Stereo Effects Processor
July 12, 1996 -- Applied Research and Technology is proud to introduce the FX-1 Personal Stereo Digital Effects Processor, a true stereo multi-effects dual processing unit. In addition to having true stereo in and out, adjustable input and output level switches, mix control and program select, the FX-1 offers single, multiple and dual mono effects processing. The FX-1's digital platform is A R T's VLSI ASIC, which operates at over 16 million calculations per second and offers 30 different algorithms. Standard reverb programs include gated and reverse reverb, delay, tremolo, chorus, panner, flange, and pitch shifting. These algorithms can be switched to an "enhanced" option by pressing a button on the unit labeled "More", which gives the user greater ability to customize individual effects. A total of 64 presets are available using the "More" option, and there are presets for bypassing the unit. The palm sized FX-1 (5" x 5.5" in size) has the same sturdy, mobile case design as the popular, portable Tube MP microphone preamp and the MR-1 reverb unit. As with other A R T Personal Processors, the FX-1 offers rack quality performance in a convenient, portable package. Made in the U.S.A., the FX-1 Personal Processor is perfect for many applications, and it may be the most cost effective multi-effects processor on the market today.
