Top-mounted controls provide easy access for viewing and adjustment of settings. Add up the features and benefits, and you've got the perfect "modern vintage," bass combo, the Ampeg Rocket B-100R.

V4B Bass Head

The tone, the feel and the warmth that comprises the Ampeg signature tone has been lives in the updated reissue of the legendary V4B head. 100 watts of all tube power is generated by four 6L6s and a 12AU7 driver. The tone of the power amp section is variable with a rear panel mounted presence button. Each tube is fused individually for protection against shorts ensuring durable, worry-free operation. The all tube preamp (with three 12AX7s) features an input Gain control, Bass and Treble flanking a Midrange control with a five position Mid Frequency selector switch and a Master Volume. Ultra Low and High tone boost buttons are also standard.

The rear panel features a balanced XLR line out which is post master volume, a pre-master preamp out/power amp in effects loop, and a 1/4" slave output jack. Output impedance is 8 or 4 ohms selectable.
