DigiTech Studio 400
July 12, 1996 -- Ideal for studio and live applications alike, DigiTech's new Studio 400 is a versatile multi-effects processor incorporating four independent XLR and quarter-inch balanced inputs and outputs for paramount flexibility. Powered by two of DigiTech's proprietary S-DISC(R) II processors, the Studio 400 can handle up to eight high-quality effects at one time, in any order, and in an endless number of combinations. The extensive list of effects offered includes multiple reverbs, delays, choruses, flangers, auto panner, intelligent pitch shifting, rotary speaker simulation, compressor, EQs, detune and more. Quick and easy to program, the operator has complete control over all parameters of any effect. Any of the 191 factory presets can also be modified and saved to one of 100 user locations. The Studio 400's extensive modifier section allows total real-time control of up to eight parameters per preset, either via MIDI or with the processor's unique dynamic and LFO settings. Housed in a 2U box, the processor's front panel features a large, custom LCD display that is easy to read from any angle. An internal power supply eliminates the "wall wart". Sampling at a frequency of 44.1 kHz, the Studio 400 features an 18-bit, 128x oversampled delta-sigma A/D converter and a 20-bit, 64x oversampled D/A converter. Digital studio owners will like the optional digital I/O that allows access to the Studio 400 in the digital domain using AES/EBU and S/P For more information, visit their web site at www.digitech.com.
