Boss DB-12 Dr. Beat

July 11, 1997 -- As any professional musician or music teacher will confirm, learning to keep accurate time is one of the most important steps in becoming a strong player and landing the "pro" gigs. With this in mind, BOSS has introduced the new low-cost DB-12 Dr. Beat Professional Metronome - one of the easiest, most powerful and affordable metronomes on the market today.

The DB-12 is a compact digital metronome that lets musicians at all levels practice their rhythm anytime, anywhere. It features a tempo range of 35-250BPM; 24 preset beat variations including "combination" beats for practicing odd time signatures or syncopated passages; and 6 rhythm types-quarter note, 8th note rest w/ afterbeats, 8th note doublets, 8th note triplets, 8th note triplets w/ afterbeats and 16th note quadruplets.

A helpful built-in Stop Watch and Timer with an alarm allow for keeping track of "real-world" time, letting DB-12 users measure song length or total session time. The Stop Watch and Timer may be used simultaneously, and time-keeping features even include a Stop Watch "Split Time" function. Built-in Chromatic Tuning permits tuning acoustic instruments over one full octave range (C4 to B4), with fine pitch-adjustment capability.

The DB-12 is rounded out with an Automatic Power-Off function for preserving battery life, a headphone jack for silent click monitoring, and unique stand-up operation capability by placing an ordinary pen through the built-in "pen hole."

BOSS products are manufactured and distributed by Roland Corporation U.S.
