Fender Shows New California Clears Picks
July 11, 1997 -- Fender Musical Instruments has unveiled California Clears - a new line of guitar picks that are uniquely colorful, resilient and affordable. "With the new California Clears, we've come up with a line of picks that tie in to Fender's history - California, guitars, surf, reverb and rock n' roll," said Brad Townsend, vice president of marketing for Fender's strings, picks and accessories division. "We have developed several attractive POP displays for our dealers to help in the launch of this exciting new product. Dealers can display a colorful counter bowl containing nine gross of picks, a complete display of prepackaged 12-packs or can order each gauge by the gross or in three gross refills." Inspired by actual vintage Fender guitar colors, California Clears are offered in thin, medium and heavy gauges. Transparent color choices include Candy Apple Red, Surf Green, Lake Placid Blue, Shoreline Gold, Shell Pink and Burgundy Mist. For more information, visit their web site at www.fender.com.
