Squier Musicmaster Bass
July 11, 1997 -- Fender introduces another outstanding addition to its Squier "Vista" series of professional quality guitars -- the Musicmaster Bass. True to the series' inherent characteristics of being moderately priced and embodying untraditional designs and body shapes, the Musicmaster is a perfect complement to this family of guitars. For dynamic tone quality, Fender created the Musicmaster Bass using a single-coil "Vista Tone" pickup with alnico magnets. A solid alder body, with a string- through-body bridge design, provides maximum tone and sustain. Additionally, four fully adjustable saddles help with height adjustment and intonation for each string. The 30" short scale neck allows a full range of notes to be within easy reach of any player. "The Musicmaster Bass is a simple, straight forward design that offers awesome tone and professional features," says Joe Carducci, marketing manager for Fender's imported electric guitar division. "The 'look' of the bass has an identity all its own, including cool color options with matching painted headstock at an affordable price." The guitar is available in Black, Arctic White, Shell Pink and Sonic Blue. U.S. suggested retail price, including gig bag, is $399.99. For more information, visit their web site at www.fender.com.
