Fender SRM Series Powered Mixers
July 11, 1997 -- Fender's new SRM Series powered mixers combine dual internal 150 watt power amplifiers with a choice of either six (model SRM6302) or eight (model SRM8302) inputs to offer one of the most flexible portable mixing systems on the market. Both models deliver professional sound quality, input/output flexibility, tremendous value and reliability to a variety of environments, including live music, vocal performances, churches, auditoriums or conference rooms. The clean, quiet, dual 150 watt internal amplifiers can be operated in tandem or split configuration at the push of a button, enabling separate mains and monitor control facilities. A MONITOR output allows a dedicated monitor system or additional powered monitors (such as the Fender Powerstage) to be added when operated in tandem mode. Each channel features MIC/LINE inputs, LEVEL control, MONITOR level, three band EQ, and an EFFECTS send. A built-in, three spring reverb can be added to both the mains and monitor sends independently. An accurate (30 mm slider faders) nine-band EQ is switch-assignable to either the mains or monitor outputs for additional EQ flexibility. A RECORD OUT control adjusts the tape out level for capturing live performances. Stereo RCA jacks allow source program material such as CD's, DAT or tape to be played. Covered with rugged vinyl for protection, a carrying handle on the side of each unit allows ease of transport. Weighing just 35 pounds, both the SRM 6302 and 8302 are backed by Fender's limited, five-year, transferrable warranty. For more information, visit their web site at www.fender.com.
