July 11, 1997 -- Marshall Amplification launches their new JCM600 series with two combo amplifiers - the 1 X12 JCM601 and the 2 X12 JCM602. Both feature an output rating of 60-Watts, two critically acclaimed Svetlana EL34 power valves and four 12AX7 pre-amp valves for the legendary Marshall "All Valve Sound."

The new JCM601 & JCM602 combo amplifiers are loaded with features such as: two totally independent channels (Clean & Overdrive); dual reverb controls; a Parallel FX loop with Mix control on the front panel; a Series FX loop; a Master Presence control on the back panel; three-band EQ (bass, middle, treble) for each channel and an XLR direct line out with switchable Speaker Emulation circuitry.

The JCM601 can be combined with the JCMC12 1 X12 extension cabinet & the JCM602 with the JCMC212 2 X12. These specially designed cabinets are loaded with custom 70-Watt Celestion "Heritage" speakers.
