Laney LC30 Class A Tube Combo

July 11, 1997 -- New Laney LC30...Versatility Taken to Extremes Many of Laney's offerings of the last several years, most particularly the Alliance amp, have been acclaimed for their exceptional versatility, but the new Laney LC30 30 watt combo may be reckoned as versatility taken to the ultimate extreme. "The new LC30 has two channels each with separate EQ: one is super, super clean...but the other channel can get as "dirty" as the most hard core player could ever want and then maybe a little more," commented John Lomas of Laney USA.

LC30 Specifications

The LC30 utilizes the pre-amp of the Laney LC50 combo, an amp that Laney claims anyone can get good tone out of, and combines it with the Class A backend of their VC30 Vintage Combo. The LC30 uses 4 Sovtek EL84 output tubes and is fitted with a classic "British blues," style 12" speaker made by HH. Other features include an effects loop and a USA made Accutronics reverb. List price of the LC30 combo, as of March 27, 1997, is $699.99
