Boss Introduces TU-2 Chromatic Tuner Pedal
July 10, 1998 -- Incorporating world-renowned TU-Series tuner technology into its popular compact pedal design, BOSS proudly introduces the new TU-2 Chromatic Tuner pedal. Using the TU-2, guitarists and bassists can now quickly and easily tune their instruments with BOSS accuracy with just a single stomp. The TU-2 is a compact tuner pedal which features a 7-segment LED that displays note name. Its bright 11-point LED indicator clearly shows tuning discrepancy, helping keep guitarists in tune even on the darkest of stages. To ensure complete accuracy, the TU-2 goes a step further than other stage tuners by including a unique "stream" meter which slows LED movement as a note's pitch becomes more accurate. Once tuning is correct, LED movement stops. The TU-2 also offers an adjustable reference pitch from 438Hz to 445Hz and a total of seven tuning modes--Chromatic, Guitar Regular, Guitar Flat, Guitar Double Flat, Bass Regular, Bass Flat, and Bass Double Flat--which can be selected and easily stored in memory along with its display settings. A selectable Mute/Bypass instantly permits silent tuning with a single stomp, while the footswitchable Tuner Off mode preserves battery life when not in use by disabling the LED's. For performing guitarists and bassists looking to keep their instruments in tune quickly and reliably, there's no better solution than the new TU-2 Chromatic Tuner pedal. And like all of BOSS' rugged compact pedals, the TU-2 features an exclusive BOSS five-year warranty. Preliminary Specifications (May be subject to change.)
