New Crest X-Four Mixing ConsoleRecent Addition To Crest's X Series Of Consoles Offers Four Group Buses, No Compromises
July 10, 1998 -- Crest Audio introduces the X-Four professional sound mixing console to the 1998 Summer NAMM Show. X-Four joins the growing list of models in the X Series that includes X-Eight-RT, X-Eight-HS and X-Monitor. X-Four suits the needs of the performing musician and sound contractor. With its compact size, high specification and many features unusual in a four-bus console, X-Four provides professional-level sound mixing at a very moderate price point. Crest's input EQ has always been applauded and on X-Four it is coupled with eight channels of output EQ, making outboard EQ unnecessary. Four chassis sizes provide 8, 16, 24 or 32 mono mic/line inputs, plus four stereo line inputs. Additional stereo inputs can replace mono inputs in groups of four. X-Four is exceptionally self contained. The provision of output EQ makes it possible to create a very simple sound reinforcement system with console, amplifiers and loudspeakers (even simpler with the current crop of self-powered loudspeakers). Benefits for the user include; compact size, professional performance, reduced need for external signal processing and true versatility. X-Four will be available in July 1998.
