Fender American Deluxe Series with Fender Vintage-Noiseless(TM) Pickups

American Deluxe Stratocaster®

July 10, 1998 -- The new Fender American Deluxe series represents the pinnacle of U.S. manufactured electric guitars. With features like select "tone-wood" bodies, highly detailed fret and nut work and newly designed Fender Vintage-Noiseless(TM) pickups, the Fender American Deluxe guitars are sure to become classics worthy of their namesake.

The Vintage-Noiseless(TM) pickups employ a stacked-coil design to recreate the sound of Fender pickups from the late '50s and early '60s without the hum normally associated with single-coils. New neck shapes have that Custom Shop feel with hand-rolled edges and "worn-in" finish.

The American Deluxe Stratocaster® features three Vintage-Noiseless(TM) pickups with hot bridge for extra punch and sustain; premium ash or alder body (depending on finish); special-shape maple neck; rosewood or maple fingerboard with abalone dot inlays; 22 medium-jumbo frets; aged or brown shell pickguard; aged white plastic parts; polished chrome locking machine heads; American Deluxe tremolo with polished steel saddles; and classic black Tolex® Fender case.

Additional configurations include the American Deluxe Fat Strat®, which features a new Fender DH-1(TM) Humbucker in the bridge position and an LSR Roller Nut. The two Vintage-Noiseless(TM) pickups in the neck and bridge position are wound extra hot for proper balance with the humbucker. The American Deluxe Fat Strat® is also available with an optional Fender Deluxe Locking Tremolo.

The American Deluxe Telecaster® features two Fender Vintage-Noiseless(TM) Tele® pickups and one Vintage Noiseless(TM) Strat® pickup in the middle position; bound-top alder or ash body with contoured back; special-shaped maple neck; rosewood or maple fingerboard with abalone dot inlays; 22 medium-jumbo frets; aged or brown shell pickguard; aged white plastic parts; Fender deluxe die-cast machine heads; American Deluxe Tele® bridge with polished steel saddles; and classic black Tolex® Fender case.

All American Deluxe models are available in luxurious transparent, burst, or solid color finishes and come factory-equipped with genuine Fender strings for optimum tone and performance.
