Ibanez Expands Guitar and Bass Amp Lines
July 10, 1998 -- With the slogan of "more tone, less money," Ibanez will show an expanded line of 10 watt and completely new line of 25 watt guitar and bass amps at the Nashville NAMM show. "We're not just providing our dealers the Ibanez name on amps that beat the prices of generic, no-name amps. We're also hitting a needed niche--combinations of features not found on other name brands," stated John Romanowski, head of the new Ibanez amp division in the U.S. "We did our homework on these amps, they're voiced right for the younger player and they've got the right features." As examples, Mr. Romanowski cited the new Tone Blaster 25-watt reverb amp which features foot-switchable gain and an active three band eq. For bass players, the Ibanez Soundwave 25-watt bass amp offers a switchable compressor with threshold control and an active 4-band EQ with Lo-Mid and Hi-Mid controls. Seven models of Ibanez amps will be available including guitar, bass, and dedicated acoustic. For more information, visit their web site at www.ibanez.com.
