DeArmond Introduces Bajo Jet Baritone Guitar
July 26, 1999 -- DeArmond will introduce its first specialty instrument at this summer's NAMM convention in Nashville, the versatile new Bajo Jet baritone guitar. For professional musicians in search of an affordable baritone instrument, the Bajo Jet is the perfect specialty guitar that will lend itself to a wide variety of performing and recording situations. And because it's from DeArmond, musicians will be attracted to the Bajo Jet for the quality and value that is associated with this hot new guitar line. The Bajo Jet is modeled after the popular Jet Star Bass body style, whose unique character and appearance makes this guitar most recognizably a DeArmond. A six string baritone guitar tuned down a 4th to "A", the Bajo Jet has numerous applications in the studio and on stage. Tic/Tac bass work and specialty tunes are easily facilitated, and made possible with the Bajo Jet's broad ranges of possible tones. The dim DeArmond 2K pickups and double three-way switch system allows players to easily access seven different pickup combinations, offering an even greater variety possible sounds. There are many ways to utilize this unique instrument in a number of different situations, but it must played to be truly appreciated. The Bajo Jet from DeArmond began production in April of 1999, and is available for order input as of June 7, 1999. Available colors for the Bajo Jet are Black, Crimson Red Transparent, and Emerald Green. United States MSRP is $999.99 for the Bajo Jet, and $1,129.98 with a case.
