New DeArmond M70 Electric Guitar

July 26, 1999 -- For working musicians, closet rock-and-rollers, Bluesmen on the club circuit or garage band axe-slingers, DeArmond's newest electric guitar will fit a specific niche in any guitarist's arsenal. Introduced at this summer's NAMM convention in Nashville, the M70 features what few others in its price range can offer - American-made pickups. The two DeArmond Goldtone Humbucking pickups come standard on the M70, and are produced at Fender's state-of the-art manufacturing facility in Corona, California.

If you're looking for the sound that only a stop-bar bridge design can offer, the M70 has it. The set neck and stop-bar bridge design offer up an alternative to the very popular "harp" style of bridges used on others in DeArmond's family of guitars. The stop bar-bridge adds a greater tension to the strings, giving it a bit more of a percussive tone and a longer sustain than the more jazz and swing oriented harp design. The result is added versatility, as the M70 enables guitarists to expand their collection of performance weapons, at an affordable price.

Edgy, sleek and powerful, the M70 has it all. Its solid mahogany body with single cutaway shape is a rock-and-roll classic. The mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard adds to the tone and sustain of the guitar, with the fretboard highlighted by its pearloid "dot" inlays. And, as previously mentioned, there are the M70's two DeArmond Goldtone Humbucking pickups and Guild stop-bar tailpiece.
