Fender's Colorful California Guitar Tuners

July 24, 1999 -- Fender has just added to its vastly popular "California" family of guitar accessories, introducing the new and colorful California Tuner. Available in six vibrant "clear" colors, the new California Tuners are sure to add a personal and unique touch to any guitarist's arsenal.

California Tuners are the first in the industry to offer color. The California Tuner is based on Fender's frequently sold AG6 Tuner, and comes in the same great "clear" colors as the other members of the California family of products: Lake Placid Blue; Candy Apple Red; Shoreline Gold; Shell Pink; Surf Green; and Burgundy.

No longer will your cables have to be black or white, your picks tortoise-shell, or your tuners gray. "The guitar Parts & Accessories Industry is huge," explains Brad Townsend, Vice President of Marketing, Strings, Parts & Accessories, "so why does everything have to look exactly like another brand's product? Accessories can say just as much about your style and presence as your guitar does, or your own sound for that matter."

For the musician who's tired of his equipment getting lost in a sea of other band member's belongings, the California series of picks, cranks, cables and tuners will set your gear apart from the rest of the band. "Obviously, musicians want an instrument and a sound that will distinguish themselves from the hordes of other players and band

members," says Jeff Moore, Fender Director of Sales & Marketing of Strings, Parts and Accessories, "So why shouldn't they have unique and distinguishing accessories as well? With the California Series, now they can."

Added Moore, "The Accessories Industry is constantly growing, and we are dedicated to growing with it, expanding the scope of unique products we can offer to every guitarist."

The California Series of accessories, including the brand new California Tuner, are currently available at over 1,500 musical instrument dealers and music retail outlets throughout the world. United States MSRP for the new California Tuner is $29.95.
