New Power Teles from Fender

American Deluxe Power Tele(R)
Deluxe Nashville Power Tele

July 24, 1999 -- Take note Telecaster® fans: Fender is ready to unleash the new American Deluxe Power Tele(R) and the Deluxe Nashville Power Tele(R), both standard with the new Fender/Fishman Power Bridge. This innovative bridge/pickup technology now opens up the Telecaster to the sounds and tones of an acoustic. Add that to the Fender pickups that give you the classic Tele(R) sound, and you've got one of the most versatile solid-body electric guitars on the market.

American Deluxe Power Tele(R)

With the new Fender/Fishman Power Bridge, the American Deluxe Power Tele(R) makes switching tones as simple as plugging in your output cable. All you need the included stereo insert cable, and this Power Tele(R) will send two different output signals to two different amplifiers. The result is one guitar that plays as if it were both an electric and an acoustic, offering musicians a greater depth of versatility.

No need to switch guitars in between songs anymore. The American Deluxe Power Tele(R) also switches pickups on the fly, allowing for quick transitions between the two Fender "Vintage Noiseless" Tele(R) pickups, or the Power Bridge ... or both.

To be produced at Fender's own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Corona, California, the American Deluxe Power Tele(R) will also feature: an alder or ash body (depending on color), bound top with contoured back, special shape maple neck with abalone dot inlays, rosewood or maple fingerboard, 9.5" radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, deluxe cast/sealed machine heads, two Fender "Vintage-Noiseless" Tele(R) pickups in the neck and bridge positions, 3-way switching, aged white/black/white pickguard (brown

shell on White Blonde and Natural colors), Fender 250L strings, a black Tolex(R) case, a strap and a stereo insert cable. Color options include: 3-Color Sunburst (alder), Black (alder), Crimson Red Transparent (alder), White Blonde (ash), Natural (ash), Teal Green Transparent (ash), or Purple Transparent (ash).

Deluxe Nashville Power Tele(R)

Once again, Tele(R) enthusiasts will find added versatility when the Deluxe Nashville Power Tele(R) comes equipped with the new Fender/Fishman Power Bridge. To distinguish this Tele(R) from the American Deluxe model, the Deluxe, Nashville model will come standard with three TexMex(TM) pickups; two Tex-Mex Tele(R) single coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions, and one Tex-Mex Strat(R) single coil pickup in the middle.

Fender will produce this new model at its own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. Other features on the Deluxe Nashville Power Tele(R) will include: an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius, 21 medium jumbo frets, 5-way "Strat-o-Tone" switching, brown shell pickguard, Fender 250L strings, a stereo insert cable, and a deluxe gig bag. Color options include: Black, Candy Apple Red, Arctic White, or Brown Sunburst.
