Sambora Strat® Revised for '99
July 24, 1999 -- The Fender Richie Sambora Stratocaster(R) will have a new look and feel to it when it is introduced at the Nashville NAMM show in July. In keeping with its tradition of quality instruments and technological innovations, Fender once again teamed up with Sambora to create a guitar that is as equally unique as he is himself. Throughout his career, Richie's distinct sound and style of playing has no doubt inspired many of today's young musicians to pick up a guitar in hope of emulating their hero. To acknowledge the contribution he has made in shaping rock music, Fender has taken tins American made Strat and has implemented upgrades that conform to Richie's exact specifications. From the signature "Star" fingerboard inlays to the Fender "Hot Noiseless" pickups, this reworked guitar is once again, all Sambora. Other features include: an alder body, special shape maple neck, 9.5" radius, 21 vintage frets, 3 Fender "Hot Noiseless" pickups, 12db active mid-boost, aged white/black/white pickguard, aged white plastic parts, original synchronized tremolo, Fender 25OR strings, Fender tweed case, strap and a cable.
