Gibson ES-295 Reissue
July 23, 1999 -- Gibson's ES-295 Reissue made its NAMM debut this Summer. With
its body and neck finished in gold and its nickel plated hardware, the
ES-295 Reissue possesses the slick action and sustaining power of a solid
body electric in a regular-size acoustic guitar.
The combination bridge/tailpiece releases about 25% of the string pressure
on the body. This adds sustaining power and provides faster and lower
action. The striking Florentine cutaway ensures that all 20 frets are
within reach. The ES-295 also features a 59-style neck with a lowered
neck.
