ART Debuts the DIO AD/DA ConverterFebruary 17, 2000 -- Applied Research & Technology (ART) debuts its AD/DA converter, the DIO. The DIO offers full 24-bit conversion and features sample rates from 44.1kHz to 96kHz. The DIO also features intelligent synchronization allowing for automatic sync with outboard equipment. ART integrates this with their trademark tube technology. The ART tube warmth circuit offers the addition of a dual triode tube allowing the AD/DA signal path to vary from clean to warm. This new stereo unit provides superior audio dynamic range in the same compact package as ART's best selling Tube MP and Single Channel Tube Compressor. The DIO can be used in a variety of applications, including recording, project, and home studios, and will help eliminate system noise in any computer based workstation. The DIO features ¼" stereo analog in and out, 24-bit S/PDIF digital I/O, switchable 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96kHz sample rates, and variable tube character control that will add warmth and musicality to the typically "sterile" digital signals of hard disk recordings. ART's DIO will have a suggested retail price of $249.00. For more information visit Applied Research & Technology at www.artroch.com
