Free Trial RTA Software From Allen & HeathFebruary 4, 2000 -- Allen & Heath is offering a free 14-day trial of its new RTA - Real Time Analyzer software - available for download from its www.allen-heath.com website. The RTA is a Windows 95/98 application for checking and calibrating live, studio and installed audio systems. The RTAs signal generator emits pink or white noise, plus 10kHz, 1kHz and 100Hz tones. Automatic or manual calibration of the RTAs input analyzer ensures that measurement equipment characteristics are removed from the analysis. The analyzer provides a real-time display of current and peak levels versus frequency. A freeze display facility is also included for convenient snapshot analysis. To make accurate assessment as simple as possible, the analyzer section measures the standard 31 ISO frequency bands. Typical uses for the RTA include checking speaker response, analyzing room, stage or studio acoustics, setting of equipment levels and testing speaker drivers and phasing. Allen & Heath is a British manufacturer of high-end mixing consoles for live and recording applications, distributed in the U.S. by the Harman Music Group, a subsidiary of Harman International. For more information visit them on the web at www.allen-heath.com.
