February 3, 2000 -- The Ultimate Chorus DSP, newest member of Fender's DSP line of amplifiers, was introduced this January at NAMM in Los Angeles. The Ultimate Chorus DSP is designed to give guitarists digital effects without the added expense of after-purchase accessories. The Ultimate's stereo tones with delay, reverb and various modulation effects like flange or chorus are on-board , offering incredible sonic variety by making available virtually hundreds of different digital effect combinations. Two twelve inch Fender Special Design Eminence speakers are driven by 65 Watts of stereo, each at 8 Ohms. There are sixteen digital modulation effect combinations of chorus and flange, sixteen different rate patterns for the modulation effects, and sixteen digital delay and reverb combinations. Dial in the preferred settings, and the effects are easily accessed with the three-button footswitch, which is included. There are two channels on the Ultimate Chorus DSP (Normal and Drive), and each have separate Volume, Treble, Mid and Bass controls. On the Drive channel, there is the added versatility of Gain, Presence and a Mid Boost. Additional features of the Ultimate Chorus DSP include: a DSP peak indicator; Drive select switch; Reverb/Delay defeat switch and level control; Modulation defeat switch and level control; and Stereo and Mono effects loop.
