Gibson Announces Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Les Paul Deluxe
March 9, 2000 -- Gibson USA commemorates the 30th anniversary of the original Les Paul Deluxe with a new limited production model. Originally released in 1969 to replace the P-90 Les Paul, the Deluxe featured the now famous "mini-humbucker" pickup. Gibson has faithfully recreated this pickup including it in a contemporary Les Paul Standard to accurately reproduce the look and better yet, the crunch and bite of the original. Today's Deluxe features a one-piece mahogany back and neck, bookmatched maple top, and vintage style tuners. The Les Paul 30th Anniversary Deluxe is available for a limited time in nitro-cellulose lacquered Ebony, Wine Red and new Bullion Gold finishes. Specifications:
